Prof. Pierre Joubert is the veritable guru of consumer research in South Africa. Apart from leading the Consumer Neuroscience Laboratory at the Unisa BMR, he also heads the Behavioural and Communication Research Department of the bureau.
He brings to NBI years of close work with leading brands, and his market-leading experience in neuroscience biometric research.
He has served on the board of SAARF, and his research network spans different economic sectors. Companies for which he has conducted research include BMR research syndicate sponsor members such as FNB, Old Mutual, Tiger Brands, Clover SA, Nestle, Department of Labour, City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipal Council, the South African Milk Processors Organisation and Unisa.
Prof Joubert’s research subject fields include consumer psychology and behaviour, consumer neuroscience, customer service function studies, company behavioural and reputation research, marketing communication research and marketing research, brand preference studies, customer satisfaction studies, organisation development studies, climate and staff morale studies, sustainable diversity studies and ODL studies.
