Mari du Toit is a Professional Services officer (Medical Physiology) at the University of the Free State. She is also currently a Master’s Degree candidate in human physiology and she is a health lecturer, educator and trainer, certificated with distinction.
Her broad university background in the medical fields of genetics, molecular cell biology and physiology make her a force majeure in the neuroscience space. This followed her exceptional ‘science’ Matriculation pass. She has earned accolades for her application of her clinical knowledge in sport. Mari is the recipient of the President’s Award (International Award for Young People) which recognises her work in the community, skills development and expedition completion. She has also completed a Neuroscience programme in Sports Vision Testing and Training and has qualified to be a neuro-coach because of her scientific training and education.
Mari understands the role of neuroscience in competitiveness and high level performance. She herself holds a Black Belt in Karate – 2nd Dan and has actively promoted the study of leadership in sports. She continues to explore her research interests in measuring functions of the human body on which she will shortly be publishing.
